Rayong Tourist Police: Thailand Tourism Awards 2008 (Rayong, Chantaburi, Trat except Koh Chang Area)

TAT has organised the Thailand Tourism Awards for six times. The sixth event was held in 2006. In 2007, an extra event of the Thailand Tourism Awards was intended to celebrate the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary. In this year 2008, the seventh event has been prepared, and the award presentation will take place on September 27, 2008.

In this year, the seventh Awards have categorised the awards into six types as follows:-

1. Awards for Tourism Development and Promotion Organisations
2. Awards for Communication and Public Relations Works
3. Awards for Tour Programmes
4. Awards for Tourism Attractions
5. Awards for Health Tourism
6. Awards for Tourist Accommodation

Regarding the criteria, the award selecting panel and the judging panel have jointly considered them carefully in order to gain the complete ones for this year’s event. Issues on the environment, global warming, participation, sufficiency economy philosophy, good governance, the overall linkage context, and responsibility to society, have been included in the criteria as well.

The Thailand Tourism Awards 2008 has a total of 138 awards to be presented, comprising 63 excellent awards and 75 outstanding awards.

- Natural Tourist Attraction >> Suphattra Land, Rayong

5. Awards for Health Tourism
- Day Spa
- Destination Spa >> Paradee Spa, Rayong
